Feast of Samba 2007

The 1st Feast of Samba took place on Friday 29th June - Sunday 1st July 2007 in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. Feast Goers, came from as far north as Scotland and as far south as Guernsey.

The festivities began on Saturday morning with a host of different workshops lea by well renowned tutors within the samba arts.
On Saturday evening, guests were treated to a samba showcase featuring Island samba bands interactive dance sessions and the headliners, BEAT THAT from Scotland.

Sunday was host to the Islands 1st Annual Mass Gathering of Sambistas. Many samba bands met in Shanklin to perform for each other. The finale of the day was when everyone came together and played as a MASS band.
The event was a great success and fun was had by all.
